Guess who has a new pair of shoes for the holidays?  Someone at the “Women in Distress” (WID) shelter, that’s who.

On December 16, 2008, members of GFWC - Coral Springs Woman’s Club donated 58 pairs of shoes to the shelter’s “Blooming Sales” Thrift Store.  WID participants are eligible to receive clothing, furniture, appliances, and other items free of charge from the thrift store. 

Vouchers are issued at the shelter, and the participants are allowed to choose the items they need from the store’s inventory.    

Thanks to the generosity of our members, someone less fortunate than we will have new shoes for the holiday season.
