PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE:
Dear Visitor,
Welcome to the GFWC Coral Springs Woman’s Club!!!! Our club is a volunteer organization of approximately 45 women who raise funds for charity.
Our club was founded in 1970 with the objectives of furthering educational, civic and charitable activities in Coral Springs and the community-at-large, as well as promoting personal growth among its members. Coral Springs residency is not a membership requirement; in fact, some live in Boynton Beach, Coconut Creek, Deerfield Beach, Lauderdale Lakes, Margate and Parkland.
We are instrumental in enriching the lives of those in our community. We draw from a diverse population and welcome into membership those women with an interest in improving the quality of life in Coral Springs and in its surrounding area.
Projects in which members can choose to participate include collecting books for worthy causes; cleaning a portion Lakeview Drive....; donating to Women In Distress; participating in art district and state competition and volunteering at the Sawgrass Nature Center. Each year we give a scholarship to a woman of non-traditional age who is returning to college.
In 2009, our club was named the Best Club in Florida in our membership category!
Our approach, however, is not “all work and no play.” We have a luncheon in the spring, take ‘field trips’ to places of interest to members, have a holiday party and enjoy international dining out as a group.
Won’t you please consider joining our club? We’d love to have you. I guarantee you’ll enjoy the friendships of our dedicated and energetic women who care a great deal about their communities!
